Hotel Bôrik was built in 1974, on the basis of a design by Štefan Svetko, who also designed the renowned ‘inverted pyramid’ building that is home to Slovak Radio.
Thanks to its location above the left bank of the Danube, most of the hotel’s rooms and suites provide unique views of Bratislava and its environs.
Falling under the administration of the Government Office, the hotel provides services primarily to senior state officials visiting Slovakia. The remaining capacity is then made available to other guests.
The hotel’s interior was renovated between 1998 and 2003.
Its architecture is unique, made up of four separate residences, the main hotel building, function halls, and terraces overlooking the Danube.
